NOTTINGHAM: I need work experience in a hospital/care home like once a week?
I’m looking to go to med school, i live in nottingham & need some work experience in a hospital or care home or rehab for people with disabilities or a doctors etc etc …
any ideas how i could get it, i’ve looked around but don’t really know what to do? Do i ring them? Do i just walk in & ask? Do i write a letter that might never get a reply?
Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere in Nottingham where they’ve done some similar quite long term work experience??

Best idea with anywhere is probably to walk in, talk to someone and hand over your CV and maybe a covering letter as well and see if they contact you.
There are probably plenty of places in Notts – just walk around or look in the phone book
I would try your local old folks home – just walk in, explain the situation and see what they say. Be very clear that you would consider this a long term committment and they are more likely to take you seriously.
