I am behind on monthly mortgage payments. Can my mortgage company credit my escrow refund without my approval?
I really need to get my car repaired. I’d rather use the money for that and catch up on my mortgage later. They said I had to apply the check to my arrears.

Mental and physical collapse after separation from my partner got behind with mortgage. did an iva. Situation now, in arrears with mortgage. No equity in property. I really want to keep house for partner to one day come back to. Seems Bankruptcy only option.
Doctor has said I am not at the moment mentally capable of dealing with anything so court official will be appointed. (No relatives or anyone else) After a year off work, now claiming benefits but dont think will be enough to cover mortgage interest.

Mortgage arrears: why should we help?
Suggestions are that the “government” should help those struggling with their mortgage repayments or those in arrears.
This makes my blood boil!!
Why on earth should the government use my (= taxpayer’s) money to help those people so stupid to have chosen to be mortgaged to the hilt?!!!

I have been served an eviction notice for 2 weeks time due to mortgage arrears. How can I stop this?
We had a family bereavement several months ago leading to funeral cost and fell into arrears with our mortgage. The lender misled us into thinking that low payments are better than nothing at all so when we were served with a court date we were very surprised. We managed to find the money and pay it off however, this has had a knock on effect to future payments in catching up with everything after having to find a lump sum. Today we were served another notice to be out in 2 weeks even though they only applied to the court on friday. We can’t find the money from anyone (believe me we’ve tried!) and I have filled in a form at the court today and have a hearing on thursday to delay the eviction warrant. We have another lender who has agreed to re mortgage our home and they reckon it will complete in 3-4 weeks however the eviction date is in 2 weeks. How likely is it that the judge will grant us an extention?
Please only reply if you have genuine advice as we are stressed enough. Thanks
Can I get evicted if i’m 1 month in arrears with my mortgage?
We have been in arrears for a couple of months by 1 month and we have made promises we’ve been unable to keep and now our mortgage company is threatening us with court action. We are both working two jobs now and will be able to pay the arrears but the mortgage company understandably have now got the hump and have said we need to pay by end of March but we don’t think we can.

Can I give my house to Mortgage Lender?
I live in the UK and have a Mortgage with Northern Rock. I am around 5 months in arrears and the house is becoming a huge burden. I need to get rid of this house quickly but nobody is buying for the amount I owe on the mortgage (which is less than the house is worth).
Can I surrender the house to the lender? I do not want this to go to court as we have a baby on the way and need every penny.

we are due in court for the first time and hopefully the last,for not paying mortgage arrears its about £1500.Does anyone know what happens in the courts? We can pay our mortgage but we are in arrears with a few companies at the moment.
